Drakensberg

The mountain of dragons.

Stretching over 1000km, hosting the largest collection of San Rock Art in the world and being one of 39 Unesco World Heritage Sites with mixed criterion for culture and nature…
Welcome to South Africa’s largest mountain range: The Drakensberg.

Famously the tallest mountain range at the end of the Sci-Fi film 2012, the Drakensberg is also home to the 5-tiered Tugela (Thukela) falls which is debatably classed as the tallest or second tallest waterfall in the world. There are endless lists of activities to indulge in and no two travellers are the same, so to save you some analysis paralysis, we have curated an eclectic list of activities to ensure your visit to the Drakensberg is one for the books!
