Stay in a villa in Bali because accommodation is King. When you are looking for a place to travel to, let’s face it, you want the comforts of home while not at home. Travelling can be stressful, it can be exhilarating and fun but at the end of the day, it’s always nice to come back to a familiar, comfortable safe zone.
While hotels have been at the forefront for many years because of their incredible service and convenience, they are also really expensive and essentially all you get is a single room. Now don’t get us wrong, we love hotels too, but have you ever considered renting a Bali villa instead?
This is why we think you should…
1. It Feels Like Home In The Middle Of Paradise
At the end of a busy day, you want to be able to walk into a beautiful sanctuary that makes you feel at home. Sometimes, ironically, travelling can be very hectic!

2. It’s Actually Affordable
The best part is that villas in Bali can accommodate any type of traveller and any type of budget! If you bring your family or friends along, you are able to split the cost up between you, making it even more affordable.
We use Airbnb to search within our price range.
3. It Requires A Single Booking
If you were to stay at a hotel with friends and family, you would have to book out a room for every two people joining. This can become confusing and as other people book out rooms, you may end up with rooms spread over different floors of the hotel. With a villa, you only need to make one booking and then you can fight over who gets the best room when you get there!

4. It’s Super Easy To Book
With companies like Airbnb, it makes it super easy to book online! You just type in your desired area, look for a place to stay and pay. It’s so simple.
➩ When you first sign up to Airbnb and book using our code you can score up to R600 off of your first booking and R225 towards an experience!
5. You Can Have A Private Pool
Tired of sharing the pool with the kids from 10 different families? Us too. Having a villa allows you to relax in complete silence or you could drown out the silence with your own music without any complaints.

6. Customise Your Own Tailored Experiences
Just like hotels, many villas in Bali offer bespoke services. You can plan your own private, customisable sightseeing trip and not have to share in the experience with others on a group tour. Bali villa owners are often local and can give you the best advice on where to eat, what to see and what to do.
7. Again, It’s Private
A little Shy? Don’t want to be disturbed? Looking for some peace and quiet? A villa is perfect because you only have to handle yourself.

8. Talk About Unique
Many villas you can hire are completely unique. They have everything from luxury eco bamboo huts to treehouses overlooking the ocean.
9. Do Your Own Cooking… Or Don’t…
Have any specific dietary needs or just like to cook for yourself? This is a great way to experiment with different local foods. It’s also very popular to attend a local cooking class and then you can practice the recipe yourself.
You also don’t need to cook at all. Some Bali villas even come with a personal chef! Well if that’s not luxury, I don’t know what is.
10. Live Like The Locals
Maybe you want to escape the hustle and bustle of the tourist trade. Book a villa out of town and live among the locals for a more authentic experience. The world is at your command.

What To Do In Ubud
No matter how long you’re staying in Bali, there are a few things you have to do! Ideally, you can do everything on our list within three days. But you may just end up being like us and staying there for two months anyway; it’s just so beautiful!

❀ PIN FOR LATER ❀

Hi,
First of all – thank you for amazing videos and content!
I’m planning my first trip to Bali (and Nusa Penida), and I wonder if you could make a post about “Things to know before going to Bali” or something like that.
Another question: Did you have any experiences with snakes? I have a huge fear of them, and would like to know.

Hello Signe 😀
Oh, goodness, Thank you so much! We are really glad to hear you are finding them useful!
Whoo Hoo! Bali & Nusa Penida are AMAZING! Hmmm, that is a good idea and I will definitely think about an article like that.
The only thing that comes to the top of my head right now, would be to get a motorbike license and make sure it’s international if you plan on hiring a scooter!
We got hit with a very nasty fine because we were driving without a license. Made us a little nervous because we went on a very tight budget.
Snakes, we never saw a single snake during our trip! Yay! You can rejoice!😂
We hope you have the best time ever!
