Some really unique and exciting cafés have been popping up all over Trang. And so we set out to try them all!
Now, that was quite the overambitious undertaking. We haven’t visited every single one, but we have definitely made a solid top 10 list! So if you’re looking for a coffee shop to work at, a tea room to chat in or simply a café to indulge in…
Here are some of our absolute favourites (in no particular order)…
Our Trang Café Rating Index
|Workability||●●●●●||Great for digital nomads|
|Customer Service||●●●●●||Quality service|
Gray 18 Café
Gray 18 Café is one of the more modern cafes in Trang.
It is very popular, quite busy, and a great café for digital nomads that are looking for a spot to work.
They don’t have much in terms of food to eat, but they do have a little bakery section for a light pastry snack.
People mainly come here for the coffee and the work environment. It’s one of our go to work spots!
Hours: 09:00 – 17:00
The Pimm By JJPP
The Pimm by JJPP is a quaint dessert café in Trang that offers some delicious menu options!
I recommend trying their Bingsu dishes, a popular shaved ice dessert.
The Pimm is not really suitable if you are looking for a place to sit and work for hours as it is quite small, but you should definitely pop past for the food!
Hours: 09:00 – 18:30
Cloud 9 Café (คลาวด์นายน์คาเฟ่)
There are two sides to Cloud 9 Café, the more business side where people come to network and work on their laptops and then the other side… A fun carefree side that, in a small way, brings out your inner child in a completely sophisticated manner of course!
You can enjoy your coffee and your meal while swinging away at your table.
Yes, the chairs are all swings!
P.S. We recommend trying the waffles and the blended smoothies!
Hours: 10:00 – 21:00
Kuanito was recommended to us by our friends Dani and Robyn and for that we are highly grateful!
The place is stunning and the food is marvelous.
This place is a lot more pricey, but they serve up the most delicious pancakes and crepe cakes! Everything is so soft and fluffy and delicious. We suggest the chocolate and banana crepe cake.
Kuanito is a lot more fancy than many other cafés in Trang – not really an environment to sit and work in.
Hours: 08:00 – 21:00
Waa Wee Café (วาวี คาเฟ่)
We found this coffee shop by accident while exploring new roads. It seems to be tucked away in the middle of nowhere, but WOW (WaaWee)! What a find!
This café is modern, stylish and has some amazing decor and food. It is really tiny and really popular, so finding a seat can be tough! Wouldn’t recommend working there if you are more than 1 person…
Hours: 08:00- 18:00
Trio House was recommended to us by our good friend Ashley! Apparently, they have delicious pancakes… We haven’t tried them yet, but we will need to make a mental note.
The only bummer here is that their menu is in Thai. You will have to point to pictures or just know what you want if you can’t read or speak Thai.
Hours: 10:00 – 20:00
Sleep & Space
The Tree is a great place to come and work.
They have fast internet, a printer, and co-working spaces with meeting rooms.
They also have a great selection of coffees and dessert food, with a small selection of meal choices.
The Tree is not only a cafe but a hostel. We have never stayed in the hostel
Hours: 07:00 – 22:00
Africano Coffee (กาแฟแอฟริกาโน)
Africano Coffee may look small from the outside, kind of like a garage coffee stop, but it actually has its own little forest area in the back!
It can be really peaceful to sit out there. There
They also have some really great coffee and waffles!
Hours: 07:30 – 18:30
Chic Café (ชิค คาเฟ่)
Chic Café. We love this place! Everyone is super friendly and helpful! Their food is delicious and their pricing is very reasonable. We enjoyed working there in the afternoons after school.
A lot of effort is put into the presentation of their meals, it’s all very creative and fun. We recommend the chocolate pancakes. They are mouthwatering! I’m sure you have noticed by now that we have a thing for pancakes and waffles…
Hours: 10:00 – 21:00
Richy Café (ริชชี่ ตรัง)
We would say that Richy Café is more luxurious and classy than some of the other cafés we have mentioned in Trang.
They have excellent customer service and delicious food. However, since it is considered more high end, people don’t necessarily go there to work, more to socialise. So, you may get a few strange glances when you take out your laptop…
Byron claims that they serve the best burgers in town! I myself would vouch for their lattes and Trang cake.
Hours: 10:00 – 22:00
